Tamekia Martin

My name is Tamekia Martin, founder of Martin Travel and Leisure, where I create personalized travel experiences centered around connection, adventure, and lasting memories. My passion for travel began as a child growing up in Brooklyn, New York, where simple train, bus and car rides with my parents created memories that still inspire me today. That passion deepened in my early 30s when my mother and I took our first mother-daughter cruise to the Bahamas. What started as a vacation became one of the most treasured experiences of my life. After my mother passed away in February 2018, I made a promise to continue traveling with her spirit beside me. Since then, travel has represented healing, courage, gratitude, and embracing life fully — even when it means stepping outside my comfort zone. I stepped out of my comfort zone in June 2018 and took my first ever flight to Maui. Since then I have been enjoying my bucket list adventures and drove to Niagara Falls, Canada, and then another cruise to Bermuda. My 2nd flight was to San Antonio, TX, then 3rd to Sedona, AZ. The metaphysical healing in Sedona is life-changing and the Grand Canyon is definitely grand. Every destination has added another chapter to my story and I am so very grateful for each experience.
